New Job

After giving some serious thought finally I left BMC Software. It was one of the toughest decisions for me. This was my first job change as well so there was added fear factor. I joined GlobalLogic on 30th August 2010. The main thing I was concerned about people and work culture. Thankfully this work culture and people here suited me. Although it is too soon to comment. But after being here for almost one month I can say I can work here peacefully.

After having 18 days of exhaustive training we are understanding a bit about the domain. Work has not started in swing yet but teams are finalized and verticals have been decided. Looking forward for an exciting work here. Hoping for the same. And an important thing is waiting for the first revised salary of mine at GlobalLogic :)

Mom Dad are back from tour

Finallyyyy mom dad are back....first reaction when I met my parents. I saw them after finishing their tour of 26 days. For the first time I was staying alone at home for more than 25 days.... and I realized how much I am dependent on them. Only after I stayed alone I understood one thing, it's not easy to manage the things on your own :)
I am so happy that I don't have to get parcel on my way to home from office and have dinner alone watching TV,Wake up early morning cook Breakfast/Tea, do "Pooja" and rush to office :)

I am glad parents are enjoying the second innings of their life. Finally they are taking time out for themselves. Feels good to see that.

During these 26 days I had night out with different set of Friends every weekend. First weekend with my college mates Prasad,Dhaval, Ratnaveer....Second weekend with my schoolmates from Thane. I was really glad I gotta spend some time with them and they specially planned trip to Pune. Unfortunately I couldn't take them to many places :( Third weekend was memorable with Shantanu,Yogesh,Ratnaveer. No electricity,chips around,playing "Badaam Saat" in candle lights,useless discussions,teasing each other right from 11.00 p.m. till 5 a.00 a.m. was amazing.Looking forward for many more night outs.

All and all It was quite an experience. Next time I will be accompanying my parents on tour for sure :)

Dis-appointing Loss...

We had our last league match today. It was dis-appointing to lose the game. I bowled my career best bowling (3-0-14-6) and we still lost the match. It really hurt bad. I took 6 wickets including hat-trick. I was at my best in bowling but it was unfortunate our other bowlers couldn't get the balls in right spot.
We will be meeting defending champions in quarter finals now. It's going to be tough and we have to be at our best if we have to win. I think today's loss was a wake up call for our team. We will have to practice hard to reach into Semi-Finals.
Today's opponent team shown a real unprofessional attitude with the way they were sledging,appealing each and every decision. Match was not played with the sports man ship.
We lost today's game just by 4 runs and it remind me of our last year's loss in semis. Anyways doesn't matter we will give our best for quarters. Cheers to BL Cricket team.

Random

Yet another weekend today...I don't have any particular topic to write on but just trying my emotions at this point of time. Today I was really bored at office. I don't know why but I was not feeling like coding. This was one of those days that you do not want to spend in office. I think I really need break from work. It's required because when I get up every morning I dont feel like going to work. It is bad and it should never happen. May be some long trip like Shimala-Kulu-Manali last year will help to solve this problem. I am just waiting for our cricket tournamnet to get over. Can't leave tournament in between as we have done all the hard work to reach at the position we are in.We have an important league match on sunday. If we win this one our way into Semis will be bit easier. So we will be playing as if this is the final match.

What a win...we totally dominated opponents

After a loong loong time I bowled a good spell and made our win easy to qualify in Quarter Finals.....It was total all round performance from BladeLogic team. The credit goes to all the team members and our sincere practice. We literally thrashed the opponents today...They just managed to score 34 runs with 9 wickets down in 10 overs . 35 runs was really an easy chase for us. We have a very strong batting line-up. I felt satisfied after a looong time I bowled a spell upto the mark and which I am capable of. I did not bowl a single wide today and I am really happy about it. I hope the tag "Wide Specialist Bowler" will go away now :) I hope this form of our team continues in the tournament...Cheers to BL team :)

Cricket Match tomorrow...All set to rock

BMC Internal cricket tournament is on and We have our important match tomorrow. We have all our strategy in place and just need to execute on field. We are known as a "Dark Horses". There is a buzz about "BladeLogic" team as team has done exceptionally well in last year's tournament. We have no clue about opponent team tomorrow but we have prepared ourselves for the best team. We won't make the mistake of underestimating any team. I have to get my bowling right tomorrow. I am known as a "Wide Specialist Bowler" in our team. I want to remove that tag. I am going to give my 100% tomorrow to improve my bowling figures. I hope I will succeed. Wishing luck to me... :)
